Job description

The Vice Director for Integrated Research Transport Lab (ITRL) has an overall responsibility for the development of the research center. The work description includes to operatively lead the development of future research programs at ITRL. The activities are performed together with the ITRL manager and representatives for ITRL partner organizations. Work assignments further includes to actively search for new partners to the center and to attract further research funding. The vice director is a bridge between researchers at ITRL and partner organizations. Responsibilities can include developing budgets and financial follow-ups and responsibilities for personnel and staff. The vice director has a strategic ability, experiences from project management and experiences from collaboration between industry and academia.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A graduate degree or an advanced level (higher education) in the research subject or equivalent competence. 
  • Experiences from management and leadership of research programs/projects. Have an established network within industry and public sector within the domains of ITRL (transport, logistics, vehicles)

Preferred qualifications

  • Ph.D. degree
  • Experiences from research and academic work as well as from industry collaborations
  • Aware of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with a specific focus on gender equality
