School of Engineering Sciences at KTH

Job description

The postdoctoral candidate will be part of Fluids-and-Surfaces research group (www.bagherigroup.com) at the FLOW center at KTH. The research group's focus is on understanding and modeling fundamental mechanisms for the transport of momentum, heat, and mass between flowing fluids and materials. The postdoctoral project aims to study the interaction between complex surfaces and flowing liquids using numerical simulations. The focus of the project may vary depending on the candidate's interests. Possible problems to work on are stability of liquid-infused surfaces, multi or single-phase flows over porous or rough surfaces, and modeling passive and active substances (surfactants and microorganisms) in unsteady shear flows. The student will work closely with other ongoing numerical and experimental projects. The project also involves international collaboration.
