School of Engineering Sciences at KTH

Project/work description

The research group in differential geometry and general relativity within the department of mathematics is offering two two-year postdoc positions. These postdoc positions are intended for work on projects in geometric PDEs, classical mathematical relativity, or a combination of these subjects. By geometric PDEs we here mean any geometrically motivated partial differential equations, such as geometric flows (Ricci flow, mean curvature flow), Einstein manifolds, Schrödinger operators and their heat semigroups, minimal surfaces, wave maps, etc. By mathematical relativity we mean Lorentzian geometry, the study of initial data sets, problems related to evolution (stability, asymptotics, cosmic censorship), the study of horizons and trapped surfaces, static solutions, etc.
