Job description

The main focus of the employment is a collaboration project between KTH and Karolinska University Hospital within data science for precision medicine, which aims to develop new techniques for identifying risk factors to receive improper antibiotic treatment and to develop decision support systems for detecting patients at risk of receiving improper treatment. Scientific contributions are expected within explainable machine learning and uncertainty quantification.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.
  • Research expertise in data science/machine learning
  • Ability to develop, implement and apply data science methods and systems
  • Good collaborative abilities
  • Good English communication skills
  • Good ability to independently initiate and run research projects

Preferred qualifications

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline
  • Experience of data science applications in healthcare and medicine
  • Experience from research in explainable machine learning and uncertainty quantification
  • Teaching abilities
  • Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality
  • Collaborative abilities
  • Swedish communication skills

About the employment
