Job description

We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow to apply cryo-EM to study bioenergetic multisubunit complexes. Current research directions include studies of photosystems and mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation, to understand their assembly, dynamics and regulation. We have a close national collaboration between KTH, Stockholm University, and Umeå University within a 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development grant. The infrastructure in the laboratory includes outstanding access to cryo-EM.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.
  • It is important that you have a background or experience in molecular visualization.

Preferred qualifications

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline
  • We are looking for a person with high scientific excellence, excellent teaching abilities as well as research expertise.
  • We appreciate that you can work Independently but also possess great collaborative abilities.
  • We believe you have exerience in operating and troubleshooting complex instruments.
  • You should have demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Skills in communicating written and spoken English will be needed in this position.
  • It is commendable that you are goal-oriented with good problem solving skills.
  • Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality is needed.
