Job description

The Quantum Nano Photonics group at KTH is inviting applications for a research engineer position in the field of quantum photonics at the single photon level. You will work in an international team to develop single photon lidar with the aim of obtaining high resolution three dimensional images and atmospheric pollution sensing. You will develop instruments based on superconducting single photon detectors. You will be involved in European and international projects and will collaborate with leading research groups.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A graduate degree or an advanced level (higher education) in the research subject or equivalent competence. 
  • Has a master's degree in physics or electrical engineering with a focus on optics, photonics, nanoscience mechanics or completed a master's project in a related field.
  • Experience with optical measurements at cryogenic temperatures
  • Experience with superconducting single photon detectors
  • Experience with optical instrument design
  • Experience with nanofabrication
