School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at KTH

Job description

This postdoc position is focused on project organizing and leadership due to business development based on digitization and data-driven streamlining. The position is a result of collaboration between the division of Management and Technology at the department of Industrial Economics and Management (Indek, ITM School) and the division for Network and Systems Engineering at the department of Computer Engineering (EECS school). This position will be allocated 40% to Indek and 60% to the division for Network and Systems Engineering.

During the equivalent of 3 days a week of working hours, you will belong to the Network and Systems Engineering (NSE) division where you will be involved in maintaining the division's research expertise in the area of digitization opportunities in the event of changes in industrial organizations. Many industrial companies struggle with their organizational ability to be digitally ambidextrous, i.e., to cope with both their long-term management missions and to be more exploratory and innovative. In projects, it has today led to many companies undergoing an agile transformation. In line with increased digital elements in products and services, the requirements for agile business development are increasing, partly to be able to achieve the goals set up, and partly to be able to attract competencies with digital competence. Within the framework of this post-doc position, you will be responsible for external research collaboration and thus it is important that applicants have an extensive and established network with both research funders and established project management researchers.

During the equivalent of 2 days a week of working hours, you will belong to the Management and Technology (MEY) unit, where you will be involved in maintaining the department's research expertise in the field of management and control of industrial projects as well as organizational complexity in the business development of agile organizations. The tasks will therefore focus on the publication of articles in international peer-reviewed journals about this, but also teaching in the unit's courses focused on change projects in industrial management (ME2016, ME2502, ME2163) and supervision of degree projects in the field (ME200X).
