Job description

In this project, we develop methods for extracting, processing and modifying polymers from by-products from agriculture with the aim to make these polymers perform as a more sustainable alternative to fossil-based plastics. The internship work aims to assist in all parts of the process, from sample preparation to analysis of manufactured products. The work includes preparation of starting material, hydrothermal treatment and work-up of generated products, extraction and purification. The work also includes sample preparation, analyses and subsequent data analyses.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Ongoing master of science studies in chemistry/chemical engineering or the equivalent at a technical university or equivalent.
  • Good knowledge of English, both written and oral as it is required in the daily work.

Preferred qualifications

Bachelor's degree in chemistry is meritorious for the position. We are looking for a motivated, structured and self-motivated person. You are goal- and result-oriented and have good collaborative skills.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competency.

About the employment
