The Department of Sustainable Development, Environmental Science and Engineering (SEED) conducts research and education focused on the sustainable development of society. SEED gathers a broad range of interdisciplinary expertise to conduct research that covers a wide field within environmental, engineering and sustainability issues.

Job description

The post-doc will work in the research program Mistra Sustainable Consumption and more specifically in a project on macro-economic impacts of policies for sustainable consumption, and vice versa, sustainability impacts of macro-economic policies. The project is planned as an international collaboration.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.
  • Programming skills (Python, other languages is a merit).

Preferred qualifications

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline
  • Research expertise in the subject.
  • Knowledge on environmental systems analysis tools such as System of economic and environmental accounts, Input-Output Analysis, Life Cycle Assessment, Macro-economic modelling.
  • Experience from working with economic and environmental statistical data.
  • Knowledge on sustainable development and sustainability challenges.
  • Experience and interest in teaching
  • Ability to communicate in Swedish since it is essential for your daily work 
  • Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality
  • Good collaborative abilities
  • Ability to work independently.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competency.
