Job description

KTH Biophysics is a research department at the Science for Life Laboratory. We develop methods and techniques based on microscopy to study molecular and cellular processes. We are now looking for a postdoctoral researcher with a strong background in cell biology combined with advanced microscopy, especially super-resolution microscopy. As a postdoc, you will participate in a research project dealing with mesoscopic protein structure, localization and clustering. The studies will focus on the dynamics of cell contacts and how the cell's metabolism changes when cell contacts and tissue is formed. Duties will include experimental design, sample preparation, microscopy and analysis of multimodal data. Special focus in the project will be placed on correlation of data from different types of microscopies.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.
  • Additional requirements are to be able to demonstrate a well-documented scientific skill specifically in cell biology and microscopy.

Preferred qualifications

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline

About the employment
