Job description
We are looking for a research engineer in the area of social network analysis. The position is with the research group of prof. Aristides Gionis (https://www.kth.se/profile/argioni/) with the focused goal of developing and testing methods for reducing polarization in social networks via recommendations, filtering, and prioritization of social-media content.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A graduate degree or an advanced level (higher education) in the research subject or equivalent competence. 

Preferred qualifications

A successful candidate should hold a Degree of Master in Computer Science or related field obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline.  You have a solid mathematical background and familiarity with social-network analysis techniques. Candidate should also have hands-on ability to process large-scale data and experiment with state-of-the-art methods of data analysis and machine learning.

The applicant should have knowledge of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality. Also have good ability to work in collaboration and also to work independently.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competency.

About the employment
