Crystallization Processes of Metallic Materials.
The subject includes studies of phenomena within crystallization and solidification processes of metal alloys, which are fundamental for metals processing and essential for the understanding of manufacturing processes. Focus is placed on experimental investigations of casting processes and other processes where solidification of metals is a vital part. The subject also includes mathematical modelling.
The associate professor must contribute to the development of the subject area as a whole. The duties include research and teaching in the subject field. In research, the associate professor is expected to create new networks within and outside KTH and actively seek research funding. The associate professor is expected to teach at first, second, and third cycles and to supervise degree projects and third cycle students in the subject field. These tasks include development of existing and new courses. The associate professor’s activities are expected to contribute to fulfill KTH's goals in sustainable development.
