A 4-year PhD position is available in the framework of the MSCA Doctoral Network GENIUS “Glide-symmetric mEtamaterials for iNnovative radIo-frequency commUnication and Sensing”, funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe Programme and by the UK Research and Innovation.
The candidate will address the problem of leakage in high-power distribution network on satellites by means of integrated glide-symmetric (GS) elements.

The research project will be done at Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm Sweden for 9 months, at Sinowave (SNW), Gothenburg, Sweden for 9 months, at Airbus Defence and Space (AIRBUS), UK for 1.5 years and again at KTH, Stockholm Sweden for 12 months. The employment will follow the movement at the respective host.
Transferable-skill training will be provided both at KTH, SNW and AIRBUS as part of the doctoral programme.

Only those admitted to postgraduate education may be employed as a doctoral student. The total length of employment may not be longer than what corresponds to full-time doctoral education in four years ' time. An employed doctoral student can, to a limited extent (maximum 20%), perform certain tasks within their role, e.g. training and administration. A new position as a doctoral student is for a maximum of one year, and then the employment may be renewed for a maximum of two years at a time. In the case of studies that are to be completed with a licentiate degree, the total period of employment may not be longer than what corresponds to full-time doctoral education for two years.
