Job description

The section for Quantum and Nanophysics is looking for Masters students to carry out summer laboratory work and assist in research in quantum technology. The successful students will work closely with PhD students and Post docs in the section. Tasks can include assisting in simulation, design, micro- and nano-fabrication, cryogenic microwave and optical measurement techniques, and data analysis. Areas of research include quantum communication, computation, and sensing.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • You should be admitted to first or second-level cycle education at a Swedish university 

Preferred qualifications

  • Student at KTH
  • A Masters student with successful completion of courses in Quantum Technology and Advanced Quantum Physics

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competency.

About the employment 

The employment is intended to be carried out between June 1 and August 31, 2023. The exact weeks that you will work during this time period will be negotiated. The position is intended as a summer job for Masters students, offering employment to assist in laboratory research during the summer break in their course work. Employment will be offered to qualified candidates as positions become available.

The employment is valid for a limited time according to the agreement - for up to 3 months, with access according to agreement.
