The Cell Technology Group (CETEG, Dept. of Industrial Biotechnology, CBH School, KTH, Stockholm), has a long experience of developing biologics bioprocesses for human therapy. CETEG leader is Assoc. Prof. Veronique Chotteau, who is Director of AdBIOPRO, a Competence Center for Advanced Bioproduction by Continuous Processing, in collaboration with Lund University, Karolinska Institutet, Linköping University and Karolinska Hospital as well as Swedish and international companies in the biopharmaceutical industry. CETEG's operations include bioprocessing of perfusion processes with very high cell density and fed-batch processes, metabolic flux analysis modeling and purification process, all focused on process development of industrial protein drug production, viral vectors and human cells for therapy. The group, av. approx. 10 people, is a multidisciplinary team, with researchers, post-docs as well as doctoral students and master's students. CETEG's activities are characterized by collaboration with academic groups at KTH, in Sweden and in Europe, as well as international companies and SMEs.

The Cell Technology Group has a vacancy as Research Engineer in biopharmaceutical bioproduction. The practical work will take place at KTH, AlbaNova Center, Roslagstullsbacken 21, 10691 Stockholm.

Requirements

  •  A graduate degree or an advanced level (higher education), such as MSc in biotechnology or equivalent

Preferred qualifications

  • Cultivation of mammalian cells and process development
  • Experience of pharmaceutical industry
