We are seeking a motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our High-Performance Computing group for a postdoctoral role in Quantum Computing Scientific Applications. The successful candidate will spearhead the quantum computing initiative within the Plasma-PEPSC project, dedicated to advancing scientific problem-solving in plasma physics and fluid dynamics through quantum computing algorithms and software. This role will involve leading and driving the quantum computing efforts within the Plasma-PEPSC project and other European Commission projects, collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams, contributing to management, and engaging in teaching activities related to quantum computing. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research at the intersection of quantum computing and scientific applications while gaining valuable teaching and project management experience.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree in Physics or Computer Science or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.

Preferred qualifications

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline

About the employment
