We are recruiting a research engineer in spatial immunology to our team located at SciLifeLab Stockholm.
Our team has an interest in system-level mapping and characterization of immunological features in human diseases and early human life. By identifying and in-depth characterizing immune and other cell types in tissue space, we try to describe organ development in early human life, and we try to find blood and tissue-based biomarkers for human diseases. We mainly use high-parametric, single-cell resolved imaging for molecular & spatial protein profiling in tissues. We are part of a highly interactive and internationally competent research environment, and we host state-of-the-art technology platforms for spatial proteomics.
In this role, you will be responsible for molecular and spatial analyses of human adult and embryonic tissues for characterization of immunological features. The work will involve e.g. sectioning of tissue samples, high-parametric immunofluorescence, microscopy, image analysis and data visualization. Our projects are large collaborations with other researchers and clinicians in and outside of Sweden. You will support data generation in ongoing projects but you will also work on individual projects that you will be responsible to push forward.
This position is a great fit for you if you want to learn and apply the cutting-edge protein profiling and imaging tools to pioneer in the emerging field of human tissue immunology.
