Job description

The Division of Theoretical Chemistry and Biology (TCB) conducts applied theoretical research in several important areas including catalysis, spectroscopy, nanoparticle sciences, supramolecular chemistry, and biochemistry. This research is solidly anchored in real-world activities at the research forefront through our wide network of local, national, and international experimental research groups.

This position targets the simulation of spectral responses from molecular systems for sensory applications. This applied computational chemistry project should be an integrated component with the division software development efforts, addressing quantum molecular modeling in high-performance computing environments.

Research duties include active participation in the European Innovation Council (EIC) network project titled OMICSENS. Active participation includes attending network meetings and report on research in presentations and reports.

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.
