The director is a person from KTH's faculty, appointed part-time, and now we are looking for a full-time vice director. The two directors work closely together in two equal roles, where the director has an internal focus on KTH with a focus on scientific quality, and the vice director has an external focus on partners with a responsibility for impact and relevance for business and society. The directors are jointly responsible for the following areas:
Vision and goals: Develop and communicate a strategic vision, which gathers employees and partners around a common direction, and which is adapted to the state of scientific and industrial knowledge and to societal needs and challenges.
Research Plan: Lead the development of ITRL's research plan and ensure it is aligned with the strategic vision.
Collaborations and partnerships: Actively seek collaboration opportunities with external institutions, industrial companies, and authorities to improve ITRL's capacity and opportunity for societal impact.
Funding: Responsible for effective allocation and management of ITRL's resources, including own funds and access to labs and equipment. Identify funding opportunities and initiate project applications with external funders. Secure co-financing and in-kind contributions from partners.
