Job description

KTH is looking for a software engineer to improve and expand our computational and simulation infrastructure for projects in cybersecurity modeling and analysis. More precisely, this infrastructure aims to build digital twins of complex IT system architectures to simulate possible cyberattacks in the systems and how effective various defense mechanisms are in relation to the attacks. We base our infrastructure on previous research results in the form of Meta Attack Language. We conduct projects together with the Swedish Armed Forces and the Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI) aiming to demonstrate an autonomous defense capability against cyberattacks.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A graduate degree or an advanced level (higher education) in the research subject or equivalent competence.
  • 1 year of professional experience in software engineering or equivalent through other engagements in software projects.
  • We see that you have no problem being independent in your work.
  • You are a person who enjoys collaborating with others.
  • Good knowledge in Python.    
  • Skills in software engineering and knowledge of principles, methods, and tools.        
  • Basic computer and network security principles.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience in graph databases.  
  • Experience in graph-based algorithms.      
  • Experience in machine learning.  
  • Experience in UI development.

About the employment
