School of Engineering Sciences at KTH

Job description

The selected candidate will join the group of Prof. Jens H Bardarson. The candidate is expected to conduct research on topics related to the group’s interests, which include the theory of topological quantum matter, many-body quantum dynamics and localization. The focus of this position will be, at least initially, on topological matter but candidates interested in the many-body aspect are also encouraged to apply. This is fully a research position, and no teaching is required. There will be a possibility to gain supervision experience by taking part in supervising master thesis projects, but this is not mandatory. The relevant projects are likely to include numerical simulations and development of algorithms, but with a focus in understanding the underlying physics.
