Job description

The division of electromagnetism and fusion science within the department of Electrical Engineering at School of Electrical Engineering and Computer science has an open postdoc position within the field of High Voltage Engineering with specific applications to developments of new diagnostic measurement methods that utilizes transients in the electric power system as stimuli for diagnostcis of the state of electric power grid equipments like transformers and shunt reactors and their accessories like bushings. The work tasks require good knowledge of experimental methods within the field of high voltage engineering at large. Knowledge of advanced simulation methods is a merit as well.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.
  • Excellent scientific merits in the field of experimental high voltage engineering and strong experience of handling measurement systems.

Preferred qualifications

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline. 
  •  Good pedagogical skills and awareness of diversity and equal treatment issues with a particular focus on gender equality. 

Great emphasis will be placed on personal skills, the ability to work independently as well as in teams.

About the employment
