Research student assistant project: fossil-free fuels of the port of Oskarshamn - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

Job description

The research assistant will participate in the project which aims to study various technical solutions to use fossil-free fuels for ships in the port of Oskarshamn, which is operated by Smålandshamnar AB. The project aims to identify which fossil-free fuels can replace today's Diesel-based fuels in different time horizons. The research assistant will then carry out techno-economic studies to understand whether it is optimal to transport and store new fuels in the port or whether self-production of fossil-free fuels in the port area (power to X) is preferable. The work takes place on a half-time basis for 4 months.

Qualifications

Requirements

• You should be admitted to first or second-level cycle education at a  Swedish university 
• You must have knowledge of fossil-free fuels and technical knowledge of synthetic fossil fuel production 

Preferred qualifications

• Student at KTH
• Knowledge of Python is an advantage

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competency.
