Research Engineer in molecular programming - Hiring in process/Finished, not possible to apply

Job description

We are seeking an experienced research engineer to strength the molecular programming research group led by Ian Hoffecker. As a research engineer, you will focus on the design of oligonucleotide sequences, purification and handling of oligonucleotides, as well as analysis of DNA-based materials using electrophoresis and microscopy. The role also includes administrative tasks and the opportunity to mentor students within your area of expertise.

Qualifications

Requirements

• A graduate degree or an advanced level (higher education) in the research subject or equivalent competence. 
• Professional skills: we expect proficiency in the design, execution, and analysis of research projects. This includes experience with relevant research methodologies, data analysis software, and the ability to communicate findings through written reports and presentations.
• Language skills: Excellent written and spoken English is essential

• Collaborative abilities – as a person, you are adept at working within interdisciplinary teams and possess strong interpersonal skills. We value candidates who can contribute to a collaborative research environment, sharing ideas and resources to advance project goals.
• Independence – it’s preferable that you have shown the ability to work independently, taking initiative in your research activities and problem-solving. Independence is key to driving forward projects and innovating within your field.
