Third-cycle subject: Energy and Environmental Systems
The division of Energy Systems (dES) within the Department of Energy Technology at KTH has received funding from the UK funded Climate Compatible Growth Program (CCG) for research in integrated and resilient geospatial planning of energy access strategies.
The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) and its partners stands at the forefront of pioneering research in integrated geospatial planning, particularly in the domains of energy, climate, and resilience of infrastructures. With a rich history of developing innovative tools to address complex societal challenges, KTH has initially created tools such as OnSSET for geospatial planning of electricity access and OnStove for geospatial planning of clean cooking access.
We are pleased to announce a new PhD opening aimed at further advancing our integrated geospatial planning efforts and supporting target countries in addressing pressing research questions around access to energy, resilience to climate change of energy infrastructures, and interactions with other resources such as climate, land and water.
