Job description

We seek a research engineer to design and develop software for modeling plasma-material interaction for the PIConGPU C++ code within the Plasma-PEPSC project. Such development includes the design and implementation of an electrostatic solver for PIConGPU, using C++ and possibly the Alpaka framework. The selected candidate will work with Plasma-PEPSC project members, the KTH computational plasma physics group, and the HZDR group, the main developer team of the PIConGPU code.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • An MS degree in Engineering Physics, plasma physics, or a related field.

Preferred qualifications
Experience with high-performance computing systems.
