School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at KTH

Job description

Edge computing is expected to play a pivotal role in the deployment of XR services, providing low latency access to computing resources for the purpose of real-time sensor fusion. In mission critical applications, such as emergency response, it is essential to ensure resilience of the services to potential failures and attacks. The research will focus on the design of a robust mobile network architecture and edge architecture as well as a robust service architecture, including resilient state management and sensor fusion, that ensure graceful service degradation despite potential network partitioning and adversarial inputs.

The position is within the Vinnova funded Network-Enabled eXchange of critical information in Systems-of-Systems (NEXSoS) project and will involve tight cooperation with industrial partners (Ericsson, Combitech, RISE) besides excellent opportunities for problem driven fundamental research in cooperation with the TECoSA competence center at KTH.
