Job description

KTH Royal Institute of Technology co-operates with several companies, universities, and institutes in an EU project MoWiLife, where the focus for KTH is on soft-switched DC-DC conversion for photovoltaic applications. Silicon carbide MOSFETs for 2.3 kV shall be used to generate a medium voltage collection grid. All steps in the design process towards an operating 1.5/10 kV laboratory prototype should be performed, i.e. design, experimental verification, documentation, and dissemination.

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.
  • Research expertise

Preferred qualifications

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline
  • Experience from experimental work in power electronics
  • Experience from electronics design, for instance layouts for printed circuit boards
  • Experience from work with advanced control systems for power electronics
  • Experience from work in large EU projects
  • Teaching abilities

Great emphasis will be placed on personal skills.

About the employment
