School of Engineering Sciences at KTH

Job description

We are looking for an outstanding and highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join the research group in computational materials physics, KTH, Stockholm, Sweden. The group is led by me, Professor Anna Delin ( KTH | Anna Delin ). The postdoctoral project focuses on the development of machine learning-based methods relevant to theoretical magnetism, as well as a database for magnetic systems. This work is of great relevance for future development of spin-based information technology, such as energy-efficient spintronics and neuromorphic computers, as well as topological magnetism.

The group's research is based on advanced electronic structure calculations, combined with atomistic spin Hamiltonians and/or phenomenological models to study fundamental magnetic and topological phenomena from a computational/theoretical perspective. Current research interests in the group include spin dynamics, flexomagnetism, topological magnetic structures, topological magnons, 2D magnetic materials and femtosecond physics.

The work will be carried out in close collaboration with experimentalists, computational physicists and visualization experts in Uppsala, Örebro and Norrköping.
