Job description

The Amanuens will serve as teaching assistant (TA) for the "Real Estate Information Technology" course (AG1421) in Period 3, “Spatial Analysis” course (AG2414) in Period 3, and “Spatial Databases” course (AG2425) in Period 4. AG1421 is an elective BSc level course in the TFAFK and TFOFK programs. AG1421 teaches basic GIS concepts, methods, and tools (ArcGIS) applied to the domain of real estate. AG1421 normally has 40-50 students, and the lab and small term project work is supported by two TAs. AG2414 is an elective course for the TTGTM MSc program and normally has about 20-25 students. AG2414 teaches both fundamental and advanced spatial analysis concepts, methods, and tools (ArcGIS and QGIS) to the students. AG2425 is an elective course for the TTGTM program, normally has about 15-20 students, and teaches the fundamental concepts, methods, and tools (PostgreSQL/PostGIS with pgRouting) in spatial databases. The Amanuens will help students with computer laboratory exercises and term projects.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • You should be admitted to first or second-level cycle education at a  Swedish university 
  • You must be registered as student of the TTGTM program and has successfully finalized the first year, including the courses AG2412, AG2411, AG2414 and AG2425 at KTH.

Preferred qualifications

  • Student at KTH
  • Working knowledge of Swedish for the AG1421 course is preferred, as this will be required in day-to-day work.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal skills.

About the employment
