Job description

The focus of the research conducted at the department is the development of predictable and robust systems for protein production, purification, and detection. Proteins with known, stable three-dimensional structures are used as a basis for further development towards various applications. Genetic engineering strategies as well as cultivation techniques are employed to tailor the proteins for specific purposes, such as protein purification, therapy, and diagnostics. In this position, the focus will be on the production and optimization of antibodies.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A graduate degree or an advanced level (higher education) in the research subject or equivalent competence. 
  • We are looking for a person who is proactive, self-driven, and has good teamwork skills. The ideal candidate should also be organized and quality-conscious.
  • The person we are looking for must have a Master's degree in Biotechnology or a related field.
  • The person we are seeking must also have documented experience in protein production in mammalian cells.
  • Subject-related skills
  • Professional skills

Preferred qualifications

  • Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality
  • It is an advantage if the person has experience in glycoengineering of mammalian cells.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal skills.
