Job description

We are looking for a highly qualified researcher with PhD experience to work on practical development of robotic systems. The researcher will be part of a research group at the Robotics, Perception and Learning (RPL) division and the group led by Prof. Danica Kragic. The project involves the development of state-of-the-art machine learning techniques applied to robotic applications. The researcher will develop robotic software, collect data and design machine learning algorithms to acquire complex robotics skills through interaction and learning. Possible projects include soft object manipulation and two-arm manipulation.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed equivalent to a doctoral degree in robotics.
  • Scientific excellence demonstrated through published research articles.
  • Pedagogical skills demonstrated through training activities.
  • Ability to promote the utilization of research results, for example through collaboration with industry.
  • We would like you to be able to collaborate easily with others and to work independently.
  • You have knowledge of diversity and equal treatment issues with a particular focus on gender equality.

Preferred qualifications

  • As a person, you are able to present your results easily to others and you express yourself well in speech and/or writing.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal skills.
