Job description

KTH is developing a third-generation VLSI design style called Synchoros VlSI design style. SiLago (Silicon Lego), a Lego-inspired design framework, has been built with this design style as the basis; see this video for an introduction.

Depending on what you are selected to do, you will be:

  1. Designing complex digital systems in HDL and verifying them
  2. Doing logic and physical synthesis using EDA tools for an advanced technology node
  3. Doing VLSI design and physical verification
  4. Writing design automation software to automatically generate optimized and valid digital designs in the SiLago framework
  5. Mapping algorithms and applications to the SiLago framework

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Proven track record in using Synopsys and/or CADENCE EDA tools
  • Strong background in Digital Systems Design, HDL (VHDL and SystemVerilog), programming for EDA in Python, C/C++ or Rust

Preferred qualifications

  • Studying a Masters Degree Program in Electronic Systems Design and/or Compilers and Optimization
  • Background in UVM based verification
  • Familiarity with modern compiler frameworks like LLVM, MLIR

Great emphasis will be placed on personal skills.
