School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at KTH

Job description

We are looking for a research engineer to work at KTH with measurements and experiments related to future wireless systems for communication, positioning and radar, as well as their future applications in society and industry.

KTH conducts world-leading research in many aspects of wireless communication systems. This full-time position is connected to the 6G research center Swedish Wireless Innovation Network (SweWIN), www.kth.se/swewin, which KTH leads in collaboration with Ericsson, Saab, ABB, RISE and several small businesses. You will act as the “spider in the web” that researchers at KTH (within and outside the SweWIN center) get support from to enable their experimental research.

The work includes planning and conducting wireless measurement experiments together with researchers from KTH and Ericsson to collect data, as well as post-processing of data and writing reports. You are expected to develop an expertise in handling multiple sets of experimental equipment to facilitate the implementation of experiments, as well as developing practical solutions to achieve high measurement accuracy through automation and merging of data from different sources. The experiments will take place partly in Kista Innovation Park, Stockholm, where there are dedicated base stations from Ericsson, and partly in testbeds at KTH which, for example, consist of USRPs connected to computing servers.
