Job description

Are you a curious and accommodating person with an interest in prototype manufacturing, innovation and entrepreneurship? Do you value inclusion and diversity? Perfect! We are looking for a KTH student to assist us on-site at Teknikringen 1, the hub for innovation and entrepreneurship at KTH, where KTH Innovation also is located.

We are looking for someone who likely is in their second or third year of the Design and Product Development program, or a similar education. The student hired for this part-time position will provide practical- and process support with early prototyping to the startups and projects that KTH Innovation supports. Your job will be to help teams find solutions to their needs, and helping in practical matters.

This means that you will be expected to assist in both digital and physical prototype work in KTH Innovation's Maker space, which includes tasks such as supporting the development of CAD models, 3D printing, and prototype manufacturing using hand tools. You will introduce the teams to working in the maker space, help create routines, and work on keeping the workshop welcoming, clean and tidy.

You will be expected to guide teams through the product development process by suggesting methodology and approaches, without necessarily being operational on the product development side of the project.

Administrative tasks and support during events/external visits to KTH Innovation may also be required. The working hours will be irregular, and participation in various evening events will be necessary.

The position is a part-time position at 20%. The working hours will be largely flexible to accommodate the combination of work and studies.
