Postdoc in robotics with specialization in spatial understanding and modelling

Job description

Your two main tasks are to 1) conduct world-leading research in spatial understanding and modeling and 2) contribute to the supervision of doctoral students. The research should be aligned with the research group's focus on spatial understanding and modeling and the scene flow project that finances the position. The supervision of doctoral students is expected to consist of close collaboration with 2-3 doctoral students and to act as a resource for the rest of the group. In addition, the candidate is expected to participate in the activities of the research group and the department.

Qualifications

Requirements

• A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.

• As a person, you are scientifically skilled, independent and able to collaborate.

• Demonstrated very deep understanding of machine learning methods and ability to use them.

• Very good programming skills.

• Experience in developing code that others can use. 

Preferred qualifications

• A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline

• Demonstrated awareness of diversity and equal opportunities issues with a particular focus on gender equality would be an advantage.

• Practical experience in working with robots.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal skills.
