Job description

With the high penetration of renewables, power electronics and the tightly coupled cyber and physical networks, future power systems will be more complex with stochastics and vulnerabilities. Recent advancements in artificial intelligence, big data and advanced control/optimization technologies provide possible novel approaches to address above challenges. This project will develop a digital model as well as learning based optimization algorithms to achieve stable and secure operation of future power converter dominated grids.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree
  • Research expertise on AI, power electronics and power systems
  • The ability to work towards research results being utilised in practice.
  • The ability to inform about research and development work
  • Collaborative abilities
  • Independence

Preferred qualifications

  • Strong expertise on AI, power electronics and power systems
  • Teaching ability
  • Experience in developing and leading activities and staff
  • Knowledge of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality 

Great emphasis will be placed on personal skills.
