Job description

As a teaching assistant in the subject Architectural Technology you will assist in teaching in years 1 – 3 in association to tutoring and workshops. You will help students understand assignments provided by course tutors, and demonstrate methods as needed. You will assist in the production of teaching material and planning of courses and will format student submissions for exhibition and documentation.

Architectural Technology involves the role of technology within architecture, including building technology, structural design and the climate of buildings, but also the analogue and digital technologies that support the design process.

We are looking for 3 teaching assistants with a work percentage of 5%. The work will be aligned with ongoing studies and will take place at the KTH School of Architecture.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • You should be admitted to first or second-level cycle education at a Swedish university 
  • You should have an interest in pedagogy and an understanding of Architectural Technology in terms of structures, building technology and technical representation.
  • You should have experience in technical drawing, physical modelling, digital modelling and/or digital representation in software such as Rhinoceros 3D.
  • You should be able to present completed student projects where Architectural Technology plays a role.

Preferred qualifications

  • Student at KTH School of Architecture.
  • Experience from practice through internship at architectural practices or building companies.
  • Aural communication in Swedish. , since Swedish is the primary language for teaching in years 1 – 3. 

Great emphasis will be placed on personal skills.

About the employment
