School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at KTH

Job description

This advertisement is for a two year postdoctoral position to characterize the statistics of brain activity and relate it to the underlying network properties.

Recent data has revealed the multiple ways brain activity deviates from the classical asynchronous-irregular states (e.g. papers from the IBL). In this project we aim to characterize the statistics of both ongoing and task related activity and then build models to explain the role of neuron and network properties in shaping the activity. In addition, we want to understand how non-Poissonian nature of neural activity affects stimulus representation in the brain. The candidate will work closely with Pawel Herman and Arvind Kumar.
