Division of Polymer Technology in collaboration with Division of Organic Chemistry are looking for a researcher interested in developing new light-and electricity-driven processes for selective chemical recycling of common volume plastics (e.g. PE, PP). In contrast to currently used thermal routes, the proposed light- and electricity-driven processes are energy- and resource efficient and can be turned on and off at demand with significantly enhanced safety and controllability as a result. The project is done in collaboration with IVL and RISE to integrate the assessment of chemical safety, environmental impact and scalability in the developed processes.
