School of Engineering Sciences in Chemistry, Biotechnology and Health at KTH

Project description

Third-cycle subject: Tomorrow’s Dendritic Drug Delivery Systems – Ultimate Precision Carriers for Therapeutic Applications

This project aims to develop next generation Dendritic Drug Delivery Systems to combat therapeutically challenging public health concerns, from cancer to viral diseases and bacterial resistance. Polyester heterofunctional dendrimers (HFDs) will be designed and evaluated with respect to structural perfections, aqueous solubility, conjugation with biological motifs and activity towards specific infections or diseases.

The candidate will work closely with researchers at KTH as well as collaborators from national and international partners who specialize in the evaluation of nanomedicine.

Supervision: The doctoral student will be supervised by: Prof. Michael Malkoch
