Job description

In this project properties of organic materials for metal free flow batteries will be studied using computational methods. We will develop workflows for automatic generation of properties related to redox chemistry, diffusion properties, aggregation and more. We will also investigate potential degradation pathways of the materials. The project is performed in close collaboration with experimental groups. We will use the new quantum chemistry software developed at the Theoretical Chemistry & Biology division (VeloxChem) in combination with other codes for molecular dynamics.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.

  • Good ability to communicate in English in speech and writing.
  • Personal qualities such as the ability to collaborate are highly valued.
  • Ability to independently complete projects.
  • Experience with quantum chemical calculations.

Preferred qualifications

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline
  • Experience of Python programming
  • Experince of molecular dynamics simulation
  • Teaching abilities
  • Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality
