Job description

The Division of Network and Systems Engineering at the Department of Computer Science in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science is looking for a postdoctoral researcher in the area of resilient learning and edge computing. With a focus on multi-agent learning in the context of edge computing, we are particularly interested in addressing fundamental problems related to resource management, distributed detection, learning equilibria in games, and learning in adversarial environments. Of interest are also approaches leveraging state-of-the-art neural architectures, including graphical models and federated learning. We will use the developed models for the design of topologies and learning algorithms that are resource efficient and are resilient to noise and to adversarial behavior. The methodological results will be applied in a variety of critical infrastructures, from smart grids through building automation to railways.

Qualifications

Requirements

• A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline (with some exceptions for special reasons such as periods of sick or parental leave, kindly indicate if such reason exists in your resume).
• The candidate should have a very strong research expertise from at least one of the areas security, communication networks, optimization, machine learning or game theory.
• The candidate should also be prepared to collaborate with faculty and students at the division and at cooperating research groups at KTH. 
• The successful applicant should have an outstanding publication record. Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
• We are looking for a strongly motivated person, who is able to work independently and together with others. Good command of English orally and in writing is required to present and publish research results.

• It's commendable if you can demonstrate teaching abilities and an awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality.
