The division of Fibre- and Polymer Technology is announcing for a postdoc position who will work and conduct research in Hamedi Lab.
This position is located at the “School of Engineering Sciences in Chemistry, Biotechnology and Health” (CBH) at KTH main campus. CBH is one of the five schools of KTH and a strong constellation for research and education in the broader areas of health, environment, energy and materials.
Next-generation energy storage materials are a necessity for quickly moving towards a fossil free future for humanity. Join us in contributing to this important field by doing research on new materials and form factors for batteries.
You will develop and use new generation of nanocomposites containing 1D materials such as nanocelulose and CNTs, and two-dimensional (2D) materials, including MXenes and 2D TMDCs for batteries and supercapacitors. The batteries will be fabricated using dispersions of these 2D materials and methods of self-assembly to achieve new form factors and optimised nanostructure in the electrodes.
You will also work with characterisation of nanomaterials using various techniques including SEM, TEM, AFM, XRD, and evaluate battery characteristics. In addition to laboratory work, the position also requires the writing of reports.

Requirements
Preferred qualifications
A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline. Prior knowledge in electronic nanomaterials and energy storage is a meritorious for the position. Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality is meritorious for the position.
Personal skills
We are looking for a self-going person with a research expertise and who is goal- and result-oriented. You have good teaching and collaborate abilities. It is a prerequisite that you possess both a linguistic analytical ability and a problem-solving analytical ability.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal competency.
